A Proud and Distinguished Weapon
Forged by hand from carbon steel, this polearm head is inspired by the highly versatile and deadly weapons of the age: the pole axe. Designed as a hybrid between a long axe and a warhammer, the pole axe was known for being a highly effective weapon against lightly-armoured and heavily-armoured opponents alike. Carbon steel is renowned for its strength and durability. Please note this requires occasional oiling to protect it. This product is also handmade, so it may vary slightly in shape and thickness.
Characteristic of historical pole axe hammers, this DIY axe hammer head has the front blade of an axe, the back head of a hammer, and a top spike. In front, the axe head tapers into the widening edge before coming to a rounded point on each end. The cheek has a cut out detail in the shape of a cross. Each end of the cross has a round point. The hammer head is notched at the back. There are two additional spikes on each side of the socket. This socket allows you to create your own halberd by inserting a spear pole into it. Please note this pole axe head does not come with a spear pole.
