Bring the warmth and merriment of a Victorian Christmas market to your seasonal decor with the Wassail Booth from the Dickens Village collection by Department 56. Filled with festive details and old-fashioned holiday charm, this decorative set creates a welcoming scene during the Christmas season. Add it to your holiday display to make your mini village feel even more lively and inviting.
Made from porcelain, this Christmas village decoration comes as a set of two figurines. The first depicts a festive wassail booth serving the traditional holiday beverage. It has red and green walls with a beige interior. A sign reading Wassail hangs above the booth. A couple of pots of wassail sit ready for serving alongside a bit of cinnamon, adding charming details to the miniature scene. There are even bags of cloves and star anise sitting on a shelf inside the booth. Nearby, a barrel bears a sign reading “Ha’penny for a Mug,” inviting passing villagers to stop for a drink. Festive greenery decorates the booth for an additional touch of Christmas cheer.
The second figurine depicts a couple of people enjoying the season alongside a dog. Together with the booth, they help create the feeling of a bustling holiday market. Both figurines stand on white bases that evoke the snowy ground of a wintry Christmas scene.
Highly detailed and carefully hand painted, the Wassail Booth captures plenty of character in its small decorative elements. The booth also lights up using an included USB light cord, casting a warm glow over the scene.
Whether displayed with other Dickens Village pieces or incorporated into your own Christmas village, the Wassail Booth makes a wonderful addition to your holiday decor. Place this charming set on a mantel, shelf or tabletop as a part of any Christmas village display.
