During the 1800s, speculating on which clipper ship carrying tea from the Far East would arrive first in Londons harbor was a popular pastime. The side of the Joseph Edward Tea Shoppe includes a sign announcing the race updates. An advertising sign on the front of the tea shop lists some of the tasty pastries and treats served in the tea room. It stands to the left of the front door. A tea pot sign hangs by a door on the side of the illuminated building. Tetley is a well-known company, and this new shop is named for the Tetley brothers, Joseph and Edward, who founded their company in the 1820s. This tea shop has cream-colored stucco walls with a dark tile roof. There is a chimney on the side of the building, sticking up through the roof. Patches of snow adorn the shops roof. They match the snowy base of the statue. The collectible is made of hand-painted porcelain with cord and bulb.
