LARP Construction

Firstly, this medieval LARP weapon has a sturdy and flexible fiberglass rod at its core. This core makes the weapon safe and strong enough for parrying blows in LARP battle.

Shred resistant closed cell foam then covers the core. A tough Kevlar tip on the fiberglass protects the foam, resulting in a construction that is soft, safe, and sturdy. This foam construction is then coated in a protective latex for greater durability.

Weapon Details:

This long LARP pole weapon features a steel and gold colored halberd head and a faux wood haft. Faux rivet details reinforce its realistic, historical look, appearing to attach the halberd head to the haft.

Inspired by medieval polearms of the 14th and 15th centuries, this noble LARP halberd first sports a long, narrow spear tip. The halberd is by nature a versatile weapon with many ways to wield. The spear point would have been used for stabbing.

Then, beneath that, is a long, angled blade to one side and a pointed spike to the other. The edges sport the silvery steel tone while antique gold colors the inner sections of the halberd head. Gorgeous swirling filigree adds a noble touch to the golden inlay.

This part of the halberd head could be used for cleaving and hooking or parrying opponents. In general, this weapon type was specialized for taking down cavalry and other mounted warriors.

Next, the haft is grooved and colored brown for a realistic wood look. Two faux iron rings at the center of the haft and at the end of the haft add extra detail along the haft. Finally, the haft ends in a faux iron butt.

Care Instructions:

• Please note that the Long Imperial LARP Halberd comes in two parts, a top section and an end section. This means that some assembly is required. The two parts screw together to form the complete LARP weapon, with the end section screwing into the top section.
• Latex weapons need to be maintained to a certain degree. We offer a 100 ml LARP Protection Gel Silicone (MCI-3722) that can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. We recommend that you use this silicone on a regular basis. It will keep the coating flexible, which will make the weapon last much longer. The maintenance silicone also protects the coating from drying out and helps the weapon resist general wear and tear from normal use.
