This mild-steel tool has a blackened finish giving it a rustic look. This tool completes the riveting process by setting the rivet in place. It has the shape of pliers with small indents inside the jaws. These indents give the rivet their wedge shape.

This medieval riveting tool will help you make your own wedge riveting on flat chainmail rings, especially when in combination with solid rings. Therefore, it is great for DIY projects and repair jobs. For example, you can use it with the Wedge Riveted European Flat Ring Chainmail Coif (AB2550) and the Wedge Riveted Short Sleeve Flat Ring Chainmail Hauberk (AB2462). The tool also makes a great addition to armoury displays, especially at faires and reenactments.
