The Foe of Swords probably derived the name mail from the Latin Macula, meaning net. This shirt features 16 gauge links combined in the international pattern, which is 4 links through a 5th, common to all European mail. Our model was faithfully copied from examples in museums and private collections, the diameter of each outer link is about 11mm, while inner link diameter is about 9.5mm. Our Blackened Chainmail shirt fits up to a 54 Inch Chest and is approximately 33 inches long. The sleeves are approximately 18 inches and hang to just below the elbows on average height warriors. We recommend keeping this mail oiled at all times.
