I’ll start by saying that it’s important to know before buying whether you want to wear this surcoat over armour or not as depending on the bulkiness I would recommend going for the much larger sizes in that case, as a looser fit will make it much easier to put on and less likely to restrict shoulder movement. As I only planned to wear mine over chainmail I went smaller but probably could have gone a size up in hindsight.
Being able to choose the colours separately is a very nice touch for matching with your preferred aesthetic or colour scheme. When buying I thought the fact that each side comes seperate might complicate things but they are easily attached at the back with hidden buttons, allowing you to further customise your look by quickly swapping between different colours as long as they are the same side and size.
I am very pleased with this product and intend to buy a larger sized one for wearing over bulkier armour in the future.
