Expert Calimacil Craftsmanship

This bow, inspired by the Tatar tribes of nomadic warriors, is made from bamboo that’s been laminated. The Tatars were a confederation of nomadic tribes, part of the Mongol Empire throughout the medieval period. This recurve bow, designed with this nomadic heritage in mind, is laminated to give it added layers of strength and durability.

The recurve bow is designed for epic LARP combat. Don’t forget to check with your organization for the draw weight requirements of your event beforehand. Please note this bow does not come with arrows.

True to its historical inspiration, this bow has several curves that bend the limbs away from the archer. This allows the bow to be powerful, yet mobile, letting it draw with strength without being too long. In the middle, the tapered handle offers you a secure grip with Dymondwood that’s been reinforced with Micarta and wrapped in cowhide leather. This grip is ambidextrous, meaning it can accommodate a right or left-handed draw. This ambidextrous grip means it has a center-shot style.

The limbs of the bow are tipped with Micarta reinforcements. These Micarta tips act as a base for you to attach the string that comes with the bow. These limbs keep the string taut when attached. For added detail, the string has black and white stripes. The string has an approximate draw weight of 25 pounds.
