In his left, he holds a copper tone heater shield with the cross at the top and writing that says: “Defend Us in Battle.” This references the prayers warriors would make to Saint Michael before combat. Beneath Saint Michael’s boot is a sprawling demon. The demon has wings curled behind its back and pointy ears. The base is carved to resemble stone. In the background, intricately carved dust clouds make it look like the aftermath of a battlefield. Moving onto the frame, the plaque has a crenellated border to resemble the battlements of medieval castles. On the back is a copper-finished wall hook, allowing you to set up this decorative angel plaque on most walls.
