Introduce your kit to the Rounded Face Steel Bascinet and prepare for your next event in 14th Century style. Whether you’re gearing up for battle or you’re creating a kit worthy of a medieval knight, this bascinet has you covered.
Ready for Battle
Forged from 17-gauge mild steel, this helmet takes inspiration from 14th Century klappvisor helmets. Also called the klappvisier, this helmet has a characteristic round visor with a hinged attachment system at the top. This product is also handmade, so it may vary slightly in shape and thickness.
The rounded skull has a hinge that swings from side to side to lock the visor in place. Swing the hinged visor open for visibility, or wear it down for protection. Narrow eye slits allow sight while the rounded face guard has perforated holes for ventilation. On the inside, there is an adjustable chin strap. There is also a padded lining for additional comfort.
Venture Forth Like a Knight
Ideal for medieval knights, heavy infantry, and other armoured characters, this klappvisier helmet is well-suited for all kinds of events. Charge into battle donning this helmet at your next LARP or wear it as a part of any medieval cosplay. This steel rounded visor bascinet is a great choice for medieval fighters building an early to mid-14th Century kit. Wearing this bascinet, you’ll feel like you’ve leapt out of the pages of medieval history.
