As you march forth into battle, you prepare for the enemy and raise the Medieval German Shield to protect yourself from attack. This medieval shield features a layered wooden construction. 16 thin layers of wood form the shield for additional durability and reduced weight. This shield has a ridge that runs down the center. The ridge smooths out into the rest of the shield. At the top, the shield has a wavy edge that angles outwards and down at the ends towards the sides. The sides curve inward, then out, before angling back towards each other to form a point at the bottom. This dark orange shield features a black two-headed eagle. The two-headed eagle is a popular medieval German motif. In addition, the shield has a battle-worn look with faux scrapes and cracks.
On the back, rivets secure the cotton around the edges of the Medieval German Shield. The back also has a closed-cell foam backing covered in full-grain leather. The black leather matches the adjustable strap for securing the shield onto an arm. There is also a wooden grip for grasping the shield. You can take this functional shield onto the battlefield at a historical reenactment. The Medieval German Shield also makes a great cosplay accessory as well.
