A Tribute to the Lucky Dragon

Forged from 1065 manganese steel, this completely decorative katana has a unique dragon aesthetic. The manganese steel gives the blade a sleek grey finish. Starting with the tsuka handle, it’s wrapped in black faux ray skin over white and gold dragon textured menuki. The pommel, also known as the kashira, is secured to the handle through the faux ray skin wrapping. The copper fuchi is adorned with an intricately embossed dragon. The circular tsuba guard is also copper and has an embossed dragon on it.

Moving down the length, the blunted katana blade has an intricately etched dragon, the Le Shin no Kurikara, also known as the realistic dragon surrounding a sword, serving as the horimono. The horimono is the design on the shorter side of the blade. This etched dragon is stunningly detailed and holding a sword within its claws. It has intricately etched scales, claws, and a serpentine body. This fantasy dragon katana comes with a red wood saya scabbard. The scabbard has black sageo cord and an intricately engraved dragon on the lower saya. The engraved dragon flies among realistic clouds inspired by real Japanese illustrations.
