Whether you wish to head into battle, go on a crusade, or take on a quest, protect your head from attack with the Late Medieval Helm. Made from 16 gauge mild steel, this medieval helmet comes in one size. It features a pot helm shape.
On top, the helmet has a shallowly curved top with crossed bands reinforcing the horizontal surface. Below the top, the helmet forms a band around the forehead. The sides of the band taper inward slightly. In front, there is a cross-like strip that runs downward to protect the nose. On each side of the strip, there are slots for you to look out of. Also, the end of the cross sits at the tip of the nose on a face plate. The face plate protects the front and part of the sides of the face. It has a rounded bottom edge and ventilation holes in a grid-like triangle shape on each cheek. The helmet secures onto the head with a leather chin strap. This helmet makes a fantastic addition to a variety of medieval roles. Wear the Late Medieval Helm to your next reenactment.
Please note that steel thickness may vary slightly due to the handcrafted methods used in the manufacture of this item.
