This war axe draws its inspiration from the long axes, Dane axes, and broadaxes wielded by the Viking hordes throughout the early medieval period. Forged from high carbon steel, the axe head boasts a historically-accurate design pulled from real archeological finds. The high carbon steel blade is exceptionally strong, flexible, and resilient, treated with a darkened finish for rugged style. This is a fully functional weapon.

At around three-and-a-half feet in length, this war axe resembles the long Dane axes of medieval history. True to form, the blade has a widened cutting edge that narrows into the cheek. The socket has a flattened poll at the back. The socket also has angled points at the top and bottom on each side of the handle. Speaking of, the hardwood handle has a constant taper from the top to the bottom to place the balance further up toward the blade. This grants you powerful swings and cleaving arcs worthy of a Viking-age conqueror!
