The Henry V Shield works well to help protect any brave warrior fighting for the English crown on the medieval battlefield. This medieval shield features a layered wooden construction. 16 thin layers of wood form the shield for additional durability and reduced weight. This shield has a ridge that runs down the center. The ridge smooths out into the rest of the shield. At the top, the shield has a wavy edge that angles outwards and down at the ends towards the sides. The sides curve inward, then out, before angling back towards each other to form a point at the bottom. This red shield features three pale gold lions standing passant. They face left. The image of three lions is popular in English heraldry. It forms part of the coat of arms of Henry V. In addition, this shield has a battle-worn look with faux scrapes and cracks.
On the back, rivets secure the cotton around the edges of the Henry V Shield. The back also has a closed-cell foam backing covered in full-grain leather. The black leather matches the adjustable strap for securing the shield onto an arm. There is also a wooden grip for grasping the shield. You can take this functional shield onto the battlefield at a historical reenactment. The Henry V Shield also makes a great cosplay accessory as well.
