Background Info

This decorative sword is a licensed sword from the HBO series Game of Thrones. Most of its wielders were members of House Tarly under the command of the Tyrells and then the Lannisters. One of its wielders was Samwell Tarley, who originally stole it from his father. During the Battle of Winterfell, Jorah Mormont wields it in defense of Daenerys Targaryen.

Sword Construction

Made from stainless steel, this fantasy sword has a double-edged blade with a fuller running down over a third of its length. The full-tang sword continues with a curved crossguard. The antique bronze-plated guard takes the shape of an archers bow.

In the center, there is a pair of hunters drawing back their bows. Facing towards their arrows is a series of animals. The animals are often hunted for food or sport, and double as the animals of different house crests. For example, one side depicts a stag and a lion, the animals of houses Baratheon and Lannister, respectively. On the other side, there is a hound and a pig, representing Houses Clegane and Crakehall, respectively.

Crossing down onto the guard is an arrowhead. The arrow design continues across the two-handed hardwood grip and ends with the pommel taking the rounded form of an arrows fletching. In addition, the pommel is also antique-bronze plated.
