The gorget comes to you as two distinct pieces. In the front, the curved leather plate protecting the neck has two straps facing opposite directions. These allow the front plate to be removed. The straps above facing to the side are for attaching shoulder armor pieces like pauldrons and spaulders. The back plates are held together by pairs of rivets over a leather strip.

Care Instructions:

• Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. Let dry naturally. Condition with oil or polish, then wipe with a final cloth to remove excess residue.
