This axe is inspired by the Francisca axes of the Franks from the early medieval era. Burnt on the handle of the axe is the lily flower. The lily flower, also known as the Fleur de Lis, is a prominent symbol of royalty and chivalry in the medieval period.

Similar to medieval axes of the Franks, the black steel head has a distinct arch that widens out toward the cutting edge. The silvery cutting edge has a convex grind. Each of the upper and lower corners ends in a prominent point. The American hickory wood handle has a burnt finish for added charm. Like the axe head, this handle is arched slightly for balanced throwing. This throwing axe comes with a black leather sheath for the head. The sheath is handmade with a handle clasp.
