Every time you behold the Cavalry Charge Medieval Knight Statue, you’ll be taken back to a realm where knights thundered across the battlefields of medieval Europe. If you’re a fan of knights, chivalry, and medieval history, you’ll adore this statue.
A Statement of Honor Brought to Life
Sculpted from polystone, this knight statue is rooted in the ideals of chivalry and the martial orders of late medieval Europe. Inspired by late medieval knights and their prestige on the battlefield, every detail on this medieval cavalry statue is painted by hand to bring the epic history of the knights to life. Polystone which is a resin composite that utilizes powdered stone to create a sculpture that is lightweight like resin, but possessed of a marble white and metallic gold luster.
Knights were the mounted warrior aristocracy of many European cultures, so naturally, this paladin is mounted on an armoured destrier. The knight has marble-white armour with golden accents. This mounted knight statue wears a closed helmet, also known as an armet, characterized by its angled visor with a comb-like crest. In his gauntleted hands, he wields a knightly riding sword at the ready to slash at any unfortunate souls in his path. Both pauldrons are filigreed with gold, displaying golden flowers and twisted golden trim.
Further down, the knight’s full leg armour is also filligreed in gold. Among other realistic pieces, the knight even has poleyns, knee armour, with sidewings for historical detail. In his other gauntleted fist, the knight wields the reins of his white warhorse, also known as a destrier. The horse’s head armour is what’s called the chanfron. Down the horse’s neck, there are golden filigreed plates called the crinet. Protecting the horse’s chest is a magnificently detailed breastplate called the peytral. This peytral is carved with sirens and a flower.
At the back, there are more ornate pieces of armour protecting the horse. These are called the cruppers. Each crupper is carved with images of unique mythical sirens. These feminine creatures resemble winged beauties with the lower bodies of mermaids, complete with realistic wings and fishy tails. Each golden detail on the knight and the horse contrasts magnificently with the white of the polystone. Next, the bottom base is sculpted to resemble a rocky, grassy field. This imaginary battlefield has the remnants of the knight’s fallen foes. First, the round, cracked shield is trimmed in gold sitting beside a white flag with a golden cross. Next, there is a broken white battle axe beside the flag. This natural base makes it easy to place this mounted cavalry statue on most flat surfaces.
