The You Can Take It With You! figurine from Department 56 says you can absolutely take your Halloween village collection with you into the afterlife. Made from polyresin, this mini figurine honors Richard Puckett, a former president of the National Council of Fifty-Six Clubs-a group of collectors of Department 56 figurines. Puckett also wrote for Department 56 fan magazines.
In this highly detailed and hand-painted figurine, Puckett stands showing off a fancy coffin. The bearded man wears a dashing outfit of a black coat and pants, purple vest, and white shirt. Finishing off the look is a black top hat with purple ribbon. His hand is out, ready to show off his fancy wooden coffin.
In the center of the coffin is a purple padded area for the deceased. It even has a purple pillow. Surrounding the hexagonal section are small nooks for any trinket-or Department 56 figurine-a dead villager could want to be buried with.
In his sample coffin, Puckett has a couple of papers, a plant, and a small image of a website labeled the Village, a reference to the written work of the real-life Puckett. The coffin rests upon a purple cloth-covered display. Along the underside of the coffin are lights powered by a USB adapter. Reflecting off of the purple display, these lights glow onto the grassy, autumn ground below.
You can easily pair this piece with the Puckett’s Funerarium (EN-6014660), another piece dedicated to the longtime collector, sold separately. This figurine is great for any mini Halloween scene or holiday village.
