Starting with the parts of the design, this sparring sword has the Black Messer Blade, black guard (PR2021), brown grip (PR3025), and a black wheel pommel (PR4021) together in one weapon. The blade is reinforced with a high-tensile steel rod, giving it added strength and flexibility. It runs along the full length of the handle. This removes the typical handle flex that is often associated with other synthetic training swords. Like the real thing, the straight blade has a swept tip for slashing and thrusting. Further down, the hilt comprises of a polymer crossguard, rubber grip, and polymer pommel.
This sword comes unassembled, but is easy to put together. First, slide the crossguard over the blade’s tang. Second, slide the grip over the tang below the crossguard. Finally, screw the pommel onto the bottom of the tang until it’s secure.
