The armor is divided into three sections to provide comprehensive coverage for the thighs, knees, and shins. The knees are fortified with solid steel for superior protection, while the upper and lower legs boast a layered construction of leather and steel strips riveted onto a leather base. For each greave, two straps secure the thigh plates in place. Then one strap fastens at the knee. Next, three straps secure the armour at the calf. Finally, a strap attaches the bottom of the shin plate at the ankle.

Care Instructions:

  • For steel: This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil.
  • For suede: Remove dirt with a bristle brush. Brush in a single direction to keep nap uniform. Use cornstarch or a suede eraser to absorb and remove any grease stains. Do not wash. Keep dry.
