Moving down to the hilt, it’s crafted from a variety of materials. Starting with the crossguard, it consists of a wooden chappe in the middle with brass wires wrapped around the quillons. Each quillon ends in an angled steel point. Further down, the walnut wood handle is wrapped with more brass wire and accommodates a two-handed grip. Walnut wood is a strong hardwood known for its rich brown hue. The handle tapers into the steel fish-tail pommel, complete with a lanyard hole.
