I purchased this shield years ago, I love it. The metal work is great, the shield has a good weight and solid construction. The shield is easily maneuverable with a sword, and would work great on its own as a defensive or offensive weapon.

I bought this buckler on a whim, but I’m glad I did. I have really big hands, and I was overjoyed to discover this buckler has a robust handle. It’s big enough to fit my hand, and I feel like it would stand up to actual blows beautifully.
It also makes a great costume accessory. Rather than carrying it by hand, I looped a short belt through it and hung it from my waist. It sat over my back pocket so it didn’t interfere with my sword or other pouches. It looked fabulous.
I would have given it five stars, but the buckler is still very plain. I might try doing some etching on it at a later date. We’ll see.
