Made of wood and wrapped in black leather, the hilt accommodates a one-handed grip like true historical arming swords. This grip is wider at the top, accommodating your thumb and forefingers. This places the weight further forward and gives you more power on the swing. The long steel crossguard curls toward the blade, ending in tapering quillons. At the bottom, this Norman knight sword has a peened cocked hat pommel like its historical inspiration.
