Forged from 18 gauge steel, these medieval pauldrons are intended for LARP combat and costuming. The pauldrons are designed as multiple plates held together with rivets. The separate plates are riveted to leather straps on the back, which allows them a degree of flexibility to match the wearer’s movements. The upper piece, called the gardbrace, is shaped with a concave notch and angled points to cover the front, back, and top of the shoulders. These pauldrons are designed to attach to the Dungeons & Dragons Steel Gorget (BG-1306). Two eyelets at the top of each gardbrace allow you to attach them to your chosen cuirass, gorget, or padded gambeson.

The smaller piece below the gardbrace is called the rerebrace and covers the upper arms. The gardbrace and the rerebrace have contoured borders for added detail. Across the lower rerebrace, underneath the pauldron, is an adjustable strap meant to secure around your arm.

Care Instructions:

• This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil.
