Some subspecies, such as the one depicted in the Dragon Riding Wave Statue, prefer sea caves and the open water. This hand-painted resin figurine depicts a fearsome blue dragon soaring over the sea. Its body swoops low to the water, and as a white-capped wave crashes against its stomach, the dragon roars in delight. Its large, white wings are tattered and full of holes, showing a long life spent on jagged rocks, fighting off the hooks and harpoons of humans.
