Damascus Sgian Dubh

Availability: 1 in stock

Originally Sgian Dubhs were commonly worn under the shirt close to the armpit. Now the stocking dirk is traditionally worn in the stocking of a Highlander. This Damascus Sgian Dubh displays the stylish wavy pattern of Damascus steel. The term Sgian Dubh means black handled knife. This Scottish dirk has a black wooden handle that is carved on one side and smooth on the other. Embossed nickel silver fittings feature a thistle motif. A coordinating sheath is fitted with silver tone metal locket and chape. Perfect for reenactment, Highlander costumes, and a lovely display piece, the steel dagger has an unsharpened blade. The Damascus Sgian Dubh also makes a great gift for any Scottish enthusiast.
