Firstly, this underbust corset has a waist cincher shape that sits under the bust and at the top of the hips. The top edge of the front comes up under the bust in a soft point. Then, under that, the front closes with antique brass swing clasps. Next, the bottom of the corset curves down slightly at the center, then curves upwards to the sides to compliment the shape of the hips. Two decorative, antique buckled straps also accent the tops of the hips.

Next, the inner steel bones are what help the corset create an hourglass shape. Inside this corset are 10 spiral steel bones and 6 flat steel bones. The flat steel bones at the back provide stability when lacing. These are all enclosed in cotton casing, and the interior of the corset is lined in 100% cotton for additional comfort.

The back of the steampunk Victorian corset laces up with matching brown cord through antique brass metal grommets. The cords cross over a wide, brown modesty panel attached to the inside of the corset. The inside also features six suspender loops for further accessorizing. Waist tape inside the corset also reinforces the waist shape and lends extra durability to the corset.
