The Montefortino helmet saw action against the Roman Republic during the Gallic Wars and its design embodies the fierce warrior culture of the Gauls. The visor is completely open in the front, giving you unhindered visibility.

Like its historical inspiration, this brass helmet is conical with a point at the top and a pronounced brow. The brow of the helmet is decorated with intricately interchanged triquetras broken up by concentric rings. These triquetras and rings are riveted to the helm. The triangular cheek plates have been intricately textured to give them a rugged appearance. Each corner of the cheek plate has a concentric ring accent with a stylized triquetra in the middle.

Leather lining inside the helmet makes it easier to wear and pairs nicely with your arming cap, not included. There are two brass rings, one inside each cheek plate. This helmet comes with a brown leather cord so you can tie it through the brass rings like a chinstrap.
