Legionnaires pick up their shields when getting ready for battle. Join this legendary group and carry a shield like this Black Auxiliary LARP Shield. Made from soft EVA foam, this LARP shield has a latex coating and is a very durable shield. Handpainted black, this shield has an oval, concave shape. In the center, there is a round boss similar to the ones on early Roman scuta. Also, it has raised edging on the rim and near the boss. The appearance of the rim mimics iron and has round indents to look like nail heads. The edging forms a vertical line behind the boss. The vertical line occurs on the back as well. There is a punch grip for holding the shield, either left or right handed. Leather wrapping covers the grip. This foam shield is wonderful for LARP and roleplaying events as well as conventions.

Care Instructions:
Latex weapons and shields do need to be maintained to a certain degree. We offer a Maintenance Silicone (MCI-2000) in our LARP Accessories section. We recommend you use the silicone on a regular basis. It has an easy, spray on application. The silicone will keep the coating flexible and increases the lifetime of the item. It also prevents the coating from drying out, and improves resistance to wear and tear.
