Artisan Craftsmanship From the APOC Line

Made from a mix of materials, this weapon from the APOC line is inspired by Japanese katana and reimagined for the modern warrior. The blade is forged from 1075 high-carbon steel, offering a strong and tough blade with a stylish two-tone finish. The cutting edge of this APOC katana is silver while the spine is darker for added contrast. The sharpened, single-edged blade ends in a forward-facing tip. This makes it great for slashing and piercing. Rated at a Rockwell Hardness of 50 for the cutting edge and 42 for the spine, this APOC sword is a durable and reliable tool.

Moving down to the handle, it’s made from Micarta plates that have been firmly riveted to the tang. Diamond-shaped cut-outs in the handle resemble tsuka-ito hilt wrappings from feudal Japanese katanas. You can hold this survival sword with one or both hands. There are red G10 liners in between the tang and the handle, designed to resemble ray skin layered over the handle of a real katana. Instead of a kashira, also known as the pommel, this Derecho katana has a lanyard hole for easy carrying.

This post-apocalypse sword comes with a versatile and tactical scabbard made of Kydex. Kydex is a thermoplastic acrylic that’s great for keeping your blade protected from harsh weather, chemicals, physical damage, and more. The sheath is MOLLE compatible, complete with perforated holes and a belt snap. This allows you to attach this weapon to your gear in multiple ways.
