Inspired by Crusading Knights

Throughout the 12th Century, medieval kingdoms carved out of the Middle East grew to become their own regional powers. The Crusader States, also known as the Outremer, were relatively new kingdoms created to defend the Holy Land from invasion. This knightly sword, forged as one piece from C60 high-carbon steel, brings the essence of the martial pride of those kingdoms into your kit.

There are two versions of this sword: the Regular version and the Light Combat version. Both versions have an unsharpened, double-edged blade with a fuller. The fuller removes excess weight from the blade while strengthening the edges, making it sturdier and more durable for blade-on-blade contact. The Regular version is designed for reenactment while the Light Combat version is designed for stage combat. The Regular version of the blade ends in an angled point while the Light Combat version is rounded.

Moving down to the hilt, this crusader sword has a tapering cruciform crossguard made of mild steel. Each quillon of the crossguard ends in a conical shape for historical detail. The handle is wood and wrapped in leather. Each end of the handle has an embossed ring to secure your one-handed grip. At the bottom, the pommel is also mild steel and peened to the handle. The pommel is in the scent-stopper style with multiple facets.

This medieval knight sword comes with a wooden scabbard wrapped in brown leather. The topmount is stitched with black leather for added detail and securing the guard when sheathed. In the middle, the scabbard has a wooden suspension loop for sliding onto your sword belt. Please note this sword does not come with a sword belt. This suspension loop is secured to the scabbard with two black bands. The endmount of the scabbard has two reinforced rings for added detail.
