Spears are a long shafted weapon, usually wood with a sharpened head, which is intended solely for thrusting. Spears have been around since the age of man for hunting, fishing and warfare. There are many benefits to spears. A spear is a relatively low cost weapon compared to a sword or axe. A spear is relatively easy to use and very light in weight. Spears could also be quickly manufactured and can be used at a considerable distance from the target or enemy. Dark Knight Armoury has many spears in this category. We have Viking spears, Roman spears, thrusting spears, boar spears, throwing spears, assegai spears, and spearheads just to name a few of them we carry. All our medieval spears are fully functional and very durable for hunting, fishing or re-enactments.
