Medieval Plates and Cutlery
While it was common to eat with hands in the Middle Ages, cutlery was not entirely unheard of, either. It was just typically used only for special occasions. At Dark Knight Armoury, though, we offer a selection of medieval plates and cutlery that allow you to break out the medieval flatware and utensils any time you want to have an authentic medieval meal. Among medieval cutlery, the knife was easily one of the most common table utensils, although more often than not, this was typically a personal dagger or pocket knife, rather than a dedicated table knife. Things like spoons and forks were more used for cooking and serving, rather than actual eating. Here, we offer different varieties of cutlery, ranging from ornate, modern pieces that have a gothic or a medieval twist to authentic looking examples of medieval cutlery that are perfect for use, either at medieval reenactments, Renaissance fairs, or even your own camping excursions! We also carry typical medieval styled dishes and table accessories, ranging from authentic medieval wood bowls to modern plates and accessories that feature a medieval or a gothic twist. Some of our flatware leans more towards the decorative side, although most of it is fully functional and perfectly safe for use. If you shop at Dark Knight Armoury, you can practically create your table setting from medieval plates and cutlery, if you so choose, or you can just pick up a few necessities here and there, ensuring that whenever you are out in a medieval reenactment, you can eat with authentic looking silverware.
