Each of the figures depicted in this Set of Four Tudor Figures lived, and indeed flourished, during the Tudor Age (1485 and 1603). These figurines come in a full-colored box, which features historical information on the back and the inside flap. Each of the figurines contained within is made entirely from lead-free pewter and stands approximately 4 centimeters tall, and each figurine also left their mark on the world, in one way or another. The historic figures included with this set are Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, William Shakespeare, and Sir Francis Drake. Henry VIII is credited with being the first English monarch to have a navy, while Elizabeth I, his daughter, is credited with using that navy to defeat the Spanish Armada of Philip II. William Shakespeare is a noted playwright whose plays entertained Queen Elizabeth, and Francis Drake sailed as a privateer for Elizabeth I and became an English hero. On their own, each of these figurines would be an impressive decoration and collectible, but together, this Set of Four Tudor Figures is a fantastic little display that is difficult to beat.
