Cernunnos, the Horned God, is a deity with many aspects and many connotations. He is pagan, more specifically Celtic in origin, and in this Silver Cernunnos Pentacle Pendant, his portrayal and appearance echoes that of the historic Gundestrup Cauldron. This unique artifact, when found, depicted a variety of Celtic images, and this impressive pendant recreates the one identified as Cernunnos. The pendant depicts a horned man, bound in place by a five-point star, as he holds aloft two items. In one hand, Cernunnos holds a torc, thought to symbolize rulership, while in the other, he holds a horned serpent, thought to symbolize the darker half of the year. Leaf patterns and designs, befitting his role as a forest god, adorn the edges of the pendant, while a ring binds the figure into pentacle seal. The pendant is crafted entirely in fine sterling silver. It comes as a pendant only and thus can be worn using necklaces and chains of all sorts. Practitioners of Wicca, who seek the male aspect, would be advised to seek the symbols of Cernunnos. Of course, you do not need to be Wicca to enjoy this accessory, as this Silver Cernunnos Pentacle Pendant makes for a great personal accent for Celtic enthusiasts of all sorts, too.
