Made from folded K120C high-carbon steel, this functional samurai sword has a curved blade, typical of Japanese swords. It features a visible temper-line, or hamon. The blade also has a medium-length tip, or chu kissaki.
Next, the katana has a brass blade collar before a blackened tsuba. The iron tsuba features an orchid flower design. Silver, brass, and copper are inlaid in the design.
The hilt continues with a wrapped handle. Black Japanese cotton cord wraps around the white ray-skin grip. The orchid motif continues onto the other fittings on the handle. Finally, this sword comes with a deep blue lacquered scabbard. The scabbard features a black cotton cord wrapping, or sageo, at the top.
