Warrior, you can become a modern Viking with some great tactical style by choosing to wield the M48 Viking Axe in the field. Made from 3Cr13 stainless steel, this functional axe has a straight injection-molded nylon haft. At the bottom of the haft, there is a wider grip. The grip features texturing to help prevent slipping. Three bolts secure the haft to the axe head on the axe. There is a similar set of ridges near the top of the haft for extra maneuverability.
Next, the axe head features a single bearded blade. A bearded blade is longer on the bottom than the top. It has a satin finish around the outside and a black oxide-coated finish towards the middle. There is a small oval cutout near the middle of the axe-head. Next to the cutout is a skull with crossed lightning bolts behind it.
Finally, this axe comes with a thermoplastic polyurethane and nylon sheath. The sheath allows the axe to hang from a belt, not included. The M48 Viking Axe is ideal for a variety of tactical tasks, regardless of where the axe is carried.
