There are two horizontal straps and a pair of crisscrossing straps. The straps tie closed and are adjustable, thus fitting a variety of scabbard sizes. At the rounded top of the base plate, there is a loop. The loop allows the holder to slide onto a belt, not included. Rivets secure it to the base plate.
