Throughout history, as an instrument of justice, truth, equality, and firmness, swords have been used at every great event and have become imbued with great symbolism, just as the Gold Masonic Sword, by Marto, is inlaid with several masonic symbols. As much a symbol as it is a sword, this weapon has a tempered stainless steel blade. The hilt is cast metal with 24K gold plating with silver plated inlays depicting several symbols of masonic tradition. The handgrip is covered in red velvet, ornamented with 24K gold plated metal. The disk shaped pommel frames a five pointed star intertwined with a G. As a symbol, the Gold Masonic Sword, by Marto, represents not the typical destructive nature of a sword, but instead, the masonic pursuit of self-construction of the individual – in other words, continued dedication to self-improvement and understanding.
