Many different styles of pole arms came out of the Middle Ages and some happened to be quite intriguing. This Fauchard Fork is one such example, featuring a convexly curved cutting blade as well as a lethal, straight-edged stabbing point. The original fauchard featured a curved blade, quite similar in nature to the glaive, although on a fauchard, the blade was sharpened on the convex curve, giving it an edge similar to that of a scythe. Unfortunately, the inward curve proved to be ineffective against armor, and so the fauchard underwent modification, until it became this weapon. Possessing both a curved cutting edge and a stabbing point, this spear is one lethal combination of concepts, one that is definitely greater than the sum of its parts. The fauchards double-pointed spear head is crafted from carbon steel and measures approximately 23.75 inches long, while the included hardwood pole it is mounted on measures 72 inches long. Distinctive and unique, this Fauchard Fork would make a great addition to any collection of medieval weapons, as its one of the more rare styles of pole arms, and it would also make a great practice weapon to carry onto the field when you want to work on your war skills.
