Displaying the rather potent symbol of the revered Babylonian goddess of love, war, and sex, the Star of Ishtar is a dark pagan symbol of a goddess whose love brought only ruin and destruction. This pewter ring is thick-banded, with ovoid slits taken out of the sides of the band, creating a four-pronged band that connects to the central hub of the ring. The face of the ring is backed by an amber crystal that makes up the background of the symbol of Ishtar. Over the amber crystal is an eight-point star; this is the general basis of the symbol of Ishtar: an eight-point star, encased in a circle, with another pair of circles at the center of the star. Each point of this star ends in a graphic skull, a fitting image for the goddess of war. Within the star rests a black crystal, elevated slightly and also embossed so that the crystal forms two circles, which finish the symbol of Ishtar. Far from a symbol of love, Ishtar promised ruin to all those whom she bestowed her favor upon; be wary that the Star of Ishtar doesnt draw her favor down upon you, as well.
