This remarkable design was widely used by West Coast Indians and is yet another example of superior technology from a primitive society. With wide limbs and a slightly working (bending) handle powerful bows can be made much shorter and are ideal for hunting in thick brush or a ground or tree stand. Our bows are made from carefully selected Red Oak backed with linen and are 66 inches long for a 28 inch draw. Draw weights up to 55 pounds are available and draw length can be up to 32 inches but with a corresponding longer bow.

Our Short Wide-limbed Hunting Bow does not have an arrow rest, but is a shoot off the hand style bow. A bow stringer and instructions are included. The bow is permanently finished and requires no maintenance, other than regular care and proper storage. This bow is great for target practice, SCA events, Hunting and Archery competitions, certain events and hunting laws may require specific draw lenghts and draw weights, if you are purchasing the bow solely for that purpose, be sure to check what the requirements are first.

This is a custom made item and may take 2-3 weeks before shipping. Delivery time may vary due to volume of orders and the season you are ordering in. Custom items are non-cancelable or returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect. We also offer a 1 year warranty on this bow in case of any defects. If this bow breaks or does not function properly as a result of manufacturing defects we will replace it. These cases are handled on a case by case basis. Remember to always unstring your bow when you are not using it and never fire the bow with out an arrow.
