Our Dagesse sword is a 14th century cut & thrust sword that is has a tapered 27 ½ -inch blade that features a wide fuller running almost the whole length of the blade that lightens the weight of the blade without weakening it. The broad based blade tapers to a deadly point and is balanced out by a slight down curved steel guard and wheel pommel. With the stout hard wood handle for a secure grip and the excellent balance sought after by professional men at arms through out Europe, this sword is an outstanding close-quarters weapon.
