England's Pearl Model Ship
Item #: 08-Pearl-14
The Englands Pearl Model Ship is not a reference to a country; rather, it references the ships captain, a pirate by the name of Edward Englandoriginally named Edward Seegarwho engaged in piracy from 1717 to 1720, around Africa and India. England made a great name for himself as a pirate around the African coast and in the Indian Oceanall up until his quartermaster proposed a vote to depose England as captain, and left him marooned on an island with two other crew members. This model of his ship, the Pearl, comes fully assembled (and thankfully without any mutinous crew members) and ready to display, while also featuring the actual coloration of the actual Pearlbased entirely on what resources could be found on the ship itself. And of course, no pirate ship is complete without a flag: the Pearl features Englands Jolly Roger of choice: the skull over two crossed thigh-bones. Whether you celebrate romanticized piracy or just love the information and history, Englands Pearl Model Ship is a fantastic little model to own and display where-ever you see fit.
