Our armour sets are made up of a Cuirass, which a is Medieval Body Armour that covers the front, sides and back, or in other words a breast plate and a backpate, and a Medieval Helmet. Functional Steel Breastplates |
Steel Breastplates are great to wear over a chainmail hauberk for extra protection. You can wear a steel breastplate alone or pair it with a matching backplate. Our Breastplates and Backplates are very simple in style so they go with just about any era or period. Some versions have attached tassets for upper thigh protection. Functional Steel Roman Lorica Segmentas |
The Lorica Segmenta is one of the most popular styles of armour. It was widely used at the height of the Roman Empire and mainly used only by Romans. The Lorica Segmenta, which is also known as a Lorica Segmentata, is made of 4 pieces. There are two torso pieces and two shoulder pieces. The torso is made of several horizontal steel strips that are overlap and lace in the front and the back. Each shoulder piece has chest and back protection and it connects to the torso pieces either by buckling or lacing.
