Single Headed Battle Axes from Dark Knight Armoury
Dark Knight Armoury offers a full line of battle ready, functional and decorative single headed axes. A single headed axe has a wooden handle in most cases with a single bladed head made of metal. Compared to a sword swing, it delivers more cleaving power against a smaller target area, making it more effective against medieval armor, due to concentrating more of its weight in the axe head. Single headed battle axes were capable of cleaving helms or armour with impunity. These single headed battle axes were used by Nordic warriors to spread terror among their foes. However, it allows much less precision than a sword does.
