Viking Clothing, Viking Tunics and Viking Shoes

As can be expected from their traditionally northern location, Viking clothing tended towards warmth as opposed to opulence. That does not mean that all Viking clothing was without decoration, though. Dark Knight Armoury banishes that myth by offering up a selection of great Viking apparel that is as historical as it is appealing, making it an easy choice to visit us when it comes to building your Viking or Norse ensemble. Traditionally Viking apparel tended towards wool as a material, as it was a warm material to use. Our own Viking tunics, trousers, skirts, and dresses tend towards wool as well - either that, or heavy cotton and other materials that lend a thick, realistic look and feel towards the garment. Many are also subtly accented, featuring trim along the edges that feature knotwork or other such patterning, or touches of fur that lend a unique appeal that looks like it belongs in the cold reaches of the north. Among Viking men, a traditional look consisted of a long tunic, trousers, and a belt about the waist. Among Viking women, a comfortable dress or a bodice and skirt were worn instead, although nothing stopped a Viking woman from wearing trousers as well, if she needed to. Dark Knight Armoury carries all that you need to build plenty of looks for male and female Vikings, and we offer clothing with just the right touches of adornment so that you can look like an honored warrior or shield-maiden when you do.
