Roman Belts and Baldrics

The Romans were no strangers when it came to wearing their belts as a part of military attire. In fact, many Romans even wore belts as armor, and when you take a look at some of our Roman belts and baldrics here at Dark Knight Armoury, you will begin to see why, as some of these belts are substantial accessories that are as protective as they are stylish. Of course, not all Roman belts were made for battle, and some are impressively stylish, making them a great addition to a variety of Roman looks, ranging from the wayward Centurion in formal military attire to the traditional general as he addresses the senate. Virtually all of our Roman belts are crafted from high quality leather, and many feature metal plating along their length, which adds to their decoration and makes them a worthy addition to virtually any Roman style costume. We also offer a number of traditional Roman baldrics, which serve to drape a length of leather over your shoulder, giving you a new way to hang your sword, and a new style to show off when you step out of the modern era and back into a Roman reenactment. You will also find a few classic Roman war skirts here as well, which are likely heavy duty battle belts with long apron-like tassets that help to protect your upper legs. In many ways, the Roman belts and baldrics section is a sort of catch-all where Dark Knight Armoury offers all of our great Roman belts, as well as an assortment of fantastic waist-worn accessories that will not only make you look good but will also help you to look more like an authentic Roman.
